Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lump crabmeat (find in a can with the canned meat section)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon green onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • juice from 1/2 of lemon
  • Avocado or vegetable oil for frying

Optional:

  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • Fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, place the crabmeat, mayonnaise, Panko, egg, Worcestershire, mustard, green onion, Old Bay Seasoning, celery, and lemon juice.
  2. Mix the crab meat very careful so that it doesn't pull apart too much. If your patties seem too moist or like they won't stay together, add 1/8 cup of flour, or place the patties in the fridge on a piece of foil on a baking sheet for 30 - 45 minutes, or until they are set up. Make each patty about 1/2 cup mixture each, and will make between 6 - 8 patties.
  3. Preheat a large skillet, add oil and cook the patties on medium heat for 4 - 6 minutes or until the patties are nice and brown.
  4. Serve with extra lemon squeezed over the top, with some fresh parsley, or dip in your favorite sauce. Fresh parsley can be used to garnish.
