Snickers poke cake is loaded with chocolate. This is a moist chocolate cake, with sweetened condensed milk running through the middle. It is topped off with chocolate whipped cream and some snickers and chocolate chips. So good!
It was my husband’s birthday and he loves snickers, so that is why I made this amazing cake. He is truly a chocolate lover and so this snickers poke cake is the perfect cake for him. We like it too because you really don’t need ice cream to go with it. It is rich and creamy without it.

How Do I Make Snickers Poke Cake?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make this Cake (scroll down for the full recipe):
Cake:
- In a large mixing bowl or mixer, mix oil, sugar, eggs, regular milk, and vanilla.
- Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix lightly.
- Add chocolate milk and stir for 2 minutes.
- Batter will be thin, but do not worry.
- Pour in a 9″ X 13″ baking pan that has been greased and floured.
- Make sure that you don’t have extra batter in the middle, as you do not want your cake to be higher in the middle.
- Bake @350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
- With a wooden spoon that the handle has been sprayed with cooking spray, poke the cake with the handle about every 2″ throughout the cake. This is so that you can put the filling in the cake without it running off the sides of the cake.
Filling:
- Place about 3 inches of water in a saucepan; set the open sweetened can of condensed milk in the water. Place on the top of the stove and heat it over medium heat until it starts to get so that it is thin and easy to pour into your cake.
- Add the condensed milk that is warm to the chocolate chips in a bowl so that the chocolate chips will melt.
- Mix and pour over cake. Spread evenly.
- Place in the refrigerator until cooled completely.
Frosting:
- Whip cream until peaks form.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla and cocoa. Mix just to blend the mixture.
- Spread evenly over the cooled cake and sprinkle with the snickers bars that have been chopped.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
