My son and his kids made these the other day, and they turned out so cute. The kids enjoyed cracking the eggs gently on the counter top and then placing the eggs into the dark purple water.

Next we put them in the refrigerator for the night. The next morning they were so excited to remove the shells. They eggs looked perfect! Then we went ahead and cut them in half, removed the yolks into a bowl and added the rest of the ingredients.

What If I Do Not Want to Use Edible Eyes?

  • If you do not want to add edible eyes, you can always use chia seeds sprinkled on top, or paprika.
  • Or you could use olives, whole or sliced.

  • You can keep refrigerated deviled eggs in the fridge up to four days, according to the USDA.
  • But you should aim to eat them within two days for optimal freshness.
  • Once you take them out of the fridge, you should serve them within two hours.
