How Do I Make Lasagna Roll Ups?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make this Dish (scroll down for the full recipe):
- Cook the noodles according to package directions.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat.
- Then add the onion and continue to cook. Add the garlic, salt, pepper and the Italian seasoning.
- Add in the marinara sauce.
- Next, spread 1/2 of the meat mixture in the bottom of a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, add the cottage cheese or the ricotta cheese, the egg, parmesan cheese, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese.
- Fill the noodles by placing 1/4 – 1/3 cup of cheese mixture over the noodles, then add about 2 – 3 Tablespoons of the meat mixture.
- Roll the noodle up and place it in the prepared pan that has the sauce in the bottom. Place the noodle with the seam side down.
- Add the remaining sauce to the top of the noodles and them top them off with the remaining cheese.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 35 – 40 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley, more Italian seasoning, or chives.

Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles, (cooked according to directions)
- 16 ounces of ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced white chopped onion
- 2 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 16 ounces of cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
- *Optional: 1 (10 ounce) package spinach, squeezed dry; add at the same time as the cheese

- Cook the noodles according to package directions. You can drain them when they are finished cooking and leave them in cold water to keep them from drying out.

- Then add the onion and continue to cook for an additional 3 - 4 minutes. Add the garlic, salt, pepper and the Italian seasoning.
- Add in the marinara sauce; simmer for 5 minutes and then turn the heat off.
- Next, spread 1/2 of the meat mixture in the bottom of a 9" x 13" baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, add the cottage cheese or the ricotta cheese, the egg, parmesan cheese, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese.
