Autumn apple bread is moist and soft, making it a wonderful treat for after school or during the day. Kids love it as much as adults!

Cook Time 1 hour 10 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup avocado or coconut oil (I use 1/2 cup apple sauce and 1/2 cup avocado oil)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (or use all white sugar)
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups apples; peeled, and cut into squares (about 2 apples)
  • 3/4 - 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Grease or spray 2 loaf pans.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add the oil, sugars, eggs and cinnamon together.
  4. Next add the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Last stir in the apples, (and pecans if adding).
  6. Place the dough into the pans by splitting it in half.
  7. Bake for 60 - 70 minutes.
  8. Cool for 5 - 7 minutes on a wire rack before removing the bread from the pans.
