Triple Berry Crisp is a tasty dessert that is a lot of fun for the Fourth of July. The red, white and blue colors make it a perfect dessert, but do not let that stop you from making it any other day of the year. And maybe like some of my family, you will think that this special combination tastes as yummy as huckleberries.
What Ingredients Do I Need For Triple Berry Crisp?

Topping:
- old fashioned oats
- all purpose flour
- brown sugar
- salt
- ground cinnamon
- unsalted butter
Berry Filling:
- frozen mixed berries
- lemon juice or lime juice
- granulated sugar
- all purpose flour
Optional: Toppings
- Fresh Sweetened Whipping Cream
- Vanilla ice cream
How Do I Make Triple Berry Crisp?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make this Dessert (scroll down for the full recipe):
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a 9″ deep dish pie plate and set it to the side.
Topping:
- In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Then add the melted butter and stir until it is well combined.
Berry Filling:
- In a larger bowl, combine the fruit, lemon juice, sugar, and flour.
- Place the berry mixture into the 9″ in baking dish.
- Sprinkle the topping over the berries as evenly as possible.
- Bake for 40 – 50 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbling and looks like a nice cobbler with a little juice, and the top is golden brown.
- Cool slightly, and then serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
Optional:
- If using fresh berries, use the same amount (6 cups).
- Add 2 Tablespoons of Apple Juice or water to the fruit, which helps create a sauce when the mixture is cooking.
