Wings:

  • Chicken wings
  • Cream of tartar
  • Baking soda
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder

 

Buffalo sauce:

  • Frank’s Wings Hot Sauce
  • Light brown sugar
  • Pure Maple Syrup

How Do I Make Tasty Baked Chicken Wings?

Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make these Wings (scroll down for the full recipe):

 

Wings:

  • Place the oven rack to the upper-middle position. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and then place a wire rack on the foil. Spray the rack with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Use paper towels to pat wings dry; this help the spices stick to the outsides.
  • Combine the cream of tartar, baking soda, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Mix to combine and then sprinkle the seasoning over the wings and gently toss to coat both sides.
  • Arrange wings, skin side up, in a single layer on the wire rack that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the pan on the upper-middle oven rack and cook for 20 minutes. Then remove them from the oven and turn them over, then cook them for a remaining 15 minutes. Then turn your oven on broil and broil for 1-2 minutes depending on your oven. Take the wings out, turn them oven and broil the other side for another 2-3 minutes, or until your wings are nice and brown.
  • Remove your wings from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes. Then place the wings into a bowl, and drizzle the sauce over them, gently stir them and coat them as much as possible.

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together the hot sauce, brown sugar, and maple syrup; stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool, then add to your wings.

Ingredients

Wings:

  • 4 pounds of chicken wings, halved at the joints, wingtips discarded
  • 1 Tablespoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Buffalo sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Frank's Wings Hot Sauce
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pure Maple Syrup

Instructions

Wings:
