How Do I Make Slow Cooker Beef Stew?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make this Stew (scroll down for the full recipe):
- In a large skillet, place 1 Tablespoon of Olive oil, over medium heat; then add the stew meat.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and sear the meat; turn the meat over after about 2 1/2 minutes and sear the other side.
- Move the meat to the slow cooker.
- Add more oil to the skillet. Add the onions and celery, and sauté the onions and celery for about 3 1/2 minutes, then add in the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
- Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute while stirring constantly.
- Place the beef consume and the 1 can of water in the skillet and add the Worcestershire, soy sauce, thyme, rosemary, and bay leaf.
- Next place this mixture into the slow cooker. Add the potatoes and the carrots. Add the remaining 2 cups of beef broth. Place the lid on top and allow the mixture to cook on slow for 4-6 hours.
- Remove the bay leaf.
- Add the green beans and allow the stew to cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Garnish as desired.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew is a wonderful comfort food for those days that you just need something that will be warm and taste delicious.
Ingredients
- 2-3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 1/2 lbs. Beef Stew Chunks
- 3/4 teaspoon salt (add to your taste)
- 1/3 teaspoon pepper (more if desired)
- 1 medium onion chopped, (about one cup) white or yellow
- 3 stalks of celery, chopped into small chunks
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can of beef consume + 1 can of water
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Thyme
- 3/4 teaspoon Rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 cups cubed potatoes
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 2 cups of low sodium beef broth
- 1 (12 ounce) package frozen green beans (add about 1 hour before serving)
