My favorite chocolate chip cookies recipe is my go to when I need a good recipe that I know that I can count on. We had a lovely bridal shower for my sons fiancé. Her favorite cookie is chocolate chip and my friend asked if she could do anything? I asked her to make chocolate chip cookies and she told me that her recipe is good but it goes flat; could I share mine. So I was really surprised when it wasn’t on the blog. Here it is, my friends.

Tips and Tricks for My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies:
As you can see, there are two different batches and they look different.
- The thicker cookies, I used 2 eggs and the box said they were large. They were more fluffy and thicker cookies.
- The flatter cookies, I used 3 eggs, so there you go. Sometimes if you just use two eggs and the dough seems a little too thick you can add just a little milk or a teaspoon of sour cream or plain yogurt.
- Also you can use any kind of chocolate chips that you want, or try adding some peanut butter chips or white chips. The cookies will be so yummy whatever you choose.
- One other trick that is good to know is that if you use margarine in your cookies in place of butter, butter gives you a bit more chewy cookie and the flavor is better. Margarine produces a better texture.
- When I use butter, I use 3 1/4 cups of flour and when using margarine, I use 3 1/2 cups of flour.

That makes me so happy! This is the recipe I used for all of those years when my children were growing up, and they (and their friends) loved these cookies. Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment.
