What Is a Street Taco Compared to a Regular Taco?

  • Mexican street tacos are smaller tacos, typically served on corn tortillas.
  • They are small in size, making it easier for a “street traveler” to enjoy a quick meal.
  • The filling is served on two small corn tortillas so that they don’t rip or tear when piled high with toppings.

What is the Difference Between a Flour Tortilla and a Corn Tortilla?

  • As the name suggests, the main ingredient in flour tortillas is flour.
  • They are typically softer and have less flavor than corn tortillas and are used for a variety of different Mexican dishes.
  • They are typically much bigger than corn tortillas, allowing them to hold more, and they are stronger.

Tips and Tricks For Crock Pot Pork Street Tacos:

  • You could also add add some avocados, olives or even some lettuce. However the more you add, the less the taco is like a traditional street taco
  • You may also want to use a flour tortilla, but corn is my favorite, and corn is usually used in traditional street tacos.
  • Also, I love to eat mine over corn chips (definitely a variation to a traditional street taco).
