Copycat Crumbl Chocolate Oreo Cookies are such a treat. We took some to a party on Saturday and they were the first things gone. They really got slicked up fast!

These cookies are soft and rich. I used orange filled Oreo’s for fall in this batch, but you can use any Oreo’s that you want. I dare you to try eating just one.

You can make these wonderful Copycat Crumbl Chocolate Oreo Cookies any time of the year; just use Oreo’s that have the color of frosting that fits the Holiday.

I love making cookies at home that are like Crumbl cookies because they are way cheaper and they taste even better. Why not make a batch for you and your best friend today?

Can I Use Frosting That Does Not Have Cream Cheese on Chocolate Oreo Cookies?

  • You sure can; I use cream cheese frosting because it is one of our favorites!
  • One other fun thing you can do with the frosting is to add a little food coloring for the Holiday of your choice!

Tips and Tricks For Copycat Crumbl Chocolate Oreo Cookies:

  • Use the blender to crush some of the Oreos and then crush some of the Oreos in a bag. That way there will be a few chunks of Oreo in the cookies.
  • I do not use double stuff, and I feel that that gives just the right amount of Oreo filling.
  • Store these cookies in an airtight container in the fridge because of the cream cheese frosting.
  • One other secret I want to tell you is that if Oreos are not on sale, I have found that the Kroger brand Creme filled sandwich cookies are just as delicious as regular Oreos.

Copycat Crumbl Chocolate Oreo Cookies are soft and rich, and the best treat. If you take some to a BBQ, they will be the first thing gone!

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

Cookies:

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups crushed Oreos, around 30
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 Tablespoon milk if needed
  • 2-3 crushed Oreos for garnishing

Instructions

    Cookies:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Cream together butter, and both sugars.
    3. Crush the Oreos, I used the blender.
    4. Then add the eggs and the vanilla extract, mix until nice and creamy.
    5. Next add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, Oreos and the cocoa.
    6. Mix to combine.
    7. With a large cookie scoop, place the cookie dough onto a baking sheet, placing 12 cookies on each baking sheet; or if you want really big cookies use 1/4 cup of dough and place 6 cookies on each baking sheet.
    8. Bake for 10 minutes if it is the smaller cookies and 12-15 minutes for larger cookies.
    9. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan - otherwise if they are very big, they crack and break. If you are baking the smaller cookies, go ahead and cool them on a cooling rack.

    Cream Cheese Frosting:

    1. Place the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and the vanilla into a mixing bowl.
    2. Mix until the mixture is nice and creamy.
    3. Add milk if needed.
    4. Frost the cookies when cool.
    5. Garnish with crushed Oreos.
