How Do I Make Cinnamon Swirl Bread?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make this Bread (scroll down for the full recipe):
- In a mixer with a dough hook, mix flour, honey or sugar and salt.
- In a 2 cup container place water that is 120-130 degrees and then add yeast and sugar. Let it rise, for about 4-5 minutes.
- Heat milk and butter until butter is melted, then stir into dry ingredients.
- Add eggs and enough remaining flour to make soft dough.
- Then add the yeast mixture, and the rest of the flour. Don’t add too much flour; dough should be a little tacky.
- Mix at least 5-7 minutes.
- Place dough on a counter that has been greased; let rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide dough into two equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into approximately a 16″ x 7″ rectangle.
Cinnamon Swirl:
- Brush rectangles with melted butter up to 1/2″ of the sides.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over dough.
- Starting at the short end of each rectangle, roll up tightly and pinch seams and ends to seal. Place, seam side down, in 2 greased 9″ X 5″ loaf pans.
- Cover with plastic wrap sprayed with cooking spray and let rise in warm, dry place until doubled in size, (about 45 minutes to 1 hour).
- Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until done.
- Remove from pans and cool on a wire rack.
