Cinnamon chip snickerdoodle cookies are a favorite at our house. These snickerdoodles are soft and delicious. In fact we think that they are so yummy we are going to put them in the local fair this year. I am helping my 8 year old grandson make them. He thinks we will get a blue ribbon and I agree.

Cinnamon chip snickerdoodle cookies are a nice change from your regular snickerdoodle cookies. Cinnamon chips are such a great addition to snickerdoodle cookies.

How Do I Store Cinnamon Chip Snickerdoodle Cookies?

  • You can make the cookie dough ahead of time and chill it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Then when you are ready to bake the cookies, allow the dough to come up to room temperature before baking the cookies. I like to make them into balls before I put them into the refrigerator, but you can do it either way.
  • You can also  freeze the cookie dough balls, and they will last for up to 2-3 months. I suggest that you roll them in cinnamon and sugar after they thaw from the freezer. Allow them to thaw for at least 30 minutes, then pre-heat the oven, roll them in the cinnamon and sugar.
  • One other way is to freeze the baked cookies in an air tight container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving or pop them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
