- Sweetened condensed milk

How Do I Make Buttery Coconut Bars?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make these Bars (scroll down for the full recipe):
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a 9″ x 13″ baking dish with parchment paper, allowing the ends to go up the sides.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, and the salt, then add the melted butter.
- Press this mixture onto the bottom of the baking dish.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes.
- Cool this for 10 minutes on a wire rack.
- Then reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, flour, brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, 3 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 3 cups sweetened shredded coconut, (divided). Then sprinkle the top with the last cup of coconut.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
- Lift out the parchment paper after bars are cool and then cut into bars.
