Melt in your mouth buttermilk pancakes made the very best breakfast for my son after he got his wisdom teeth out! My son had to have his wisdom teeth removed a few days ago.
I always see and hear of the stories about the funny things that kids say. Well it is true. I was laughing all the way home. It felt like I was driving home with a big 3 year old. I decided to stop at the pharmacy to get some pain medication for him, and I told him that I would roll down the windows, as it was slightly warm.
He said to me ” I don’t want the windows down”, Why? “because someone might grab me”! (he is 6′ 2″ and 200 lbs!!). I said to him “you could just punch them” and he asked me “do you want someone to knock your teeth out”?
At this point I knew that it was best that I just take him home and leave him with someone at home and go back and get the medicine. Also when we got out of the dentist’s office he had big alligator tears and he said, “I don’t feel good”.
I handed him a Kleenex and he asked me what that was for and I told him, his tears, and he told me “I’m not crying”. It was pretty funny, but it was a lot funnier being there.
I also went through a yellow light and he told me that I broke the law. I asked him if he ever broke the law and he said “nope never”! Is this stuff like a lie detector test? I don’t recommend it for entertainment, because it is pretty expensive entertainment!!

So I made these melt in your mouth buttermilk pancakes because I know that a growing young man needs a lot of food, but after you get your wisdom teeth pulled, it is hard to eat anything besides ice cream. However, these pancakes were very soft and easy to chew.
Everyone enjoyed them, even my little grandson with no teeth. We make our own maple syrup which is on the back of the maple flavoring bottle. It is very easy and my kids won’t eat store bought now.
Or you could try our buttermilk syrup, which we also really like. Try some of these melt in your mouth buttermilk pancakes in the morning for breakfast. I know that you will be glad that you did. They are one of our favorite pancakes ever!

Now you can do the same for someone that you love. These are a great memory breakfast and one that you could make on a special occasion. You also might just want to make up a batch before your loved ones go to work or school in the morning.
