  • Mini marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies or Cheerios
  • Freeze-dried raspberries or strawberries

How Do I Make Berries and Cream Treats?

Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make these Tres (scroll down for the full recipe):

 

  • Butter or grease a 9″ X 13″ baking pan.
  • In a large kettle, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the marshmallows and stir to melt.
  • Remove from the heat and add the cereal; mix to combine.
  • Gently stir in the chips and the freeze-dried fruit.
  • Place the mixture into the baking pan and smooth.
  • After 30-60 minutes cut into 2-3″ squares and enjoy.

 

 

 

 

Can I Make Berries and Cream Treats in the Microwave?

 

  • If you want to use your micro wave to make your treats, place the butter and the marshmallows in a large glass bowl.
  • I always put my power level of the micro wave to 6 so that it will not get so hot, and burn the marshmallows. Then I microwave the marshmallows in 1 minute increments. 
  • After the marshmallows are melted, you will want to add the cereal of your choice.
  • Gently stir in the chips and the freeze-dried fruit.
  • Place the mixture into the baking pan and smooth.
  • After 30-60 minutes cut into 2-3″ squares and enjoy.
