You can even use this in place of an apple pie, with the Thanksgiving holiday that will soon be here. One of the nice things about this dessert is that it is done in 1 hour or less. Pies take me 3 to 4 hours. Plus you don’t have to make a crust (which I am not good at) ha ha. However, you may just want to double the recipe. - In a medium mixing bowl, mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.

- This apple crisp is better than regular apple crisp because it has a filling mixed with the apples; it’s not just dry apples with a topping.
Can This Apple Crisp Be Stored?
- This Apple Crisp is best served freshly baked and warm.
- However, it will be okay for a couple of days stored at room temperature, but the topping does start to soften up.
- (According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, fruit desserts made with sugar can be stored at room temperature for up to two days. On the other hand, desserts made with custard or cream, or ones with egg in the filling, do need to be refrigerated).

Ingredients
Topping:
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
