Tips and Tricks For Easy Basic Gravy:
- I like to make my gravy right before we eat; that way it is nice and warm and has the perfect consistency.
- One of the best tips and tricks that I have for Gravy was taught to me by my mom. She taught me that if you get in a pinch and it doesn’t look like you are going to have enough gravy, add a package of gravy that you have bought from the store and a cup of water. It makes your gravy go further and it also flavors up your gravy real nice.
Melt the butter!

Mmmm! Mashed potatoes and gravy are one of my favorite parts of the Thanksgiving meal!
Me too – I guess that I will always be a potatoes and gravy kind of girl. You can take the girl out of Idaho, but you can’t take Idaho out of the girl!
My husband LOVES white gravy. Would love to see a recipe for that.
I will see what I can do! Happy Thanksgiving:)
