Strawberry bread is the perfect sweet bread for those last minute, I need something delicious in two hours times. You will never go wrong with this bread. It turns out soft and fluffy every time. The one thing that I recommend is that you grease and flour the pans, as my bread wants to stick most of the time.
Strawberry bread is really tasty. This is a fun little recipe if you are just having people over for a little get together. This amazing bread goes with almost anything. You could use it for a baby shower or a birthday party. I think it is also perfect for Easter in a few days. If you don’t want something that is too sweet, but you need something for a dessert, look no further.

I made this bread and my cute little granddaughter that is almost one, loved it. She would get mad every time that her mother would not share with her. Ha ha, she is a smart little girl I would say.
And my son that moved to Idaho, his cute little guy is starting to talk. His mom asked him to sit down, she said you need to get into your seat and he kept saying “sheat”. Ha ha it didn’t sound like sit. I had to ask my son if he was turning his 18 month old son into a farmer already.
Let’s just tell it like it is, sometimes those cows can make you say bad words. How do I know? I use to milk cows!! Yep, sometimes those words just come out. I don’t milk cows now and I don’t use those words. I guess my grandson can get away with it while he is young. It is cute when you don’t know what you are saying and you don’t have to get pepper on your tongue. xoxo
How Do I Choose the Best Strawberries?
Look for Bright Red Berries:
- Strawberries don’t continue to ripen after they are picked.
- Look for berries that are bright red from top to bottom.
Check for Fresh Green Leaves:
- After the berries are picked, the green leaves will start to dry and wilt.
- The longer the berries have been picked, the more the leaves will be wilted.
- Fresh green leaves mean that the berries are also fresh.
Look for Plump Berries:
- If the berries are starting to look “dry” or shriveled, they are getting old.
Size Doesn’t Matter:
- Different varieties of strawberries grow to different sizes.
- Weather and growing conditions can also affect the size of strawberries.
- Smaller berries are often sweeter, but bigger berries are delicious, too!
Look for No Signs of Mold:
- If you can see one moldy berry in the box, there are probably more.
- Mold on the berries means they are starting to rot.
- Even if most of the berries in the box aren’t moldy, they are all probably starting to go bad.
Look at the Berries you can see From the Top and the Bottom of the Box:
- Sometimes, a “bad” berry can be at the bottom of the box.
- Make sure all the berries you can see look red, ripe, and fresh.
So, with Easter coming up I hope that you will try this amazing strawberry bread. It is perfect this time of the year when the strawberries are nice and fresh. One thing that you just might want to do also, is wait until the bread has time to cool down before you dig into it. If not, it tends to fall apart. So if you can be patient, just wait to cut into it.
Strawberry bread is a lot better than all that candy. And you can just put it into the loaf pan, bake it and enjoy. You don’t need to frost it or anything. I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter and that we can remember what Easter is truly about. Also, take some time to enjoy good food and family.

It was super moist and I really enjoyed licking the bowl! Strawberries are delicious! ?
Oh my, this looks incredibly delicious. We will have to try this soon. We picked strawberries a couple of months ago and I saved some in the freezer. This would be the perfect treat to get them out!
Thanks for sharing on Foodie Friday! I’m sharing on Facebook!
I think that you will really like it! I hope that you get a chance to try it. I am impressed with anyone who grows strawberries. I tried once and I do not have a very good green thumb when it comes to strawberries. Thank you so much for stopping by!xoxo
Hi….This looks so yummy. You don’t mention what size bread pan you are using but I want to make this in 3×5 mini loaf pans. How long would the mini loaves take to bake?
Please reply. Thanks.
The pans that I used were 8 1/2″ X 4 1/2″. If you are using 3″ X 5″ mini pans, you need to cut the cook time to 30 – 35 minutes. You would think that you would cut it in half, but you don’t. Start checking to see if they are done at 30 minutes. Also make sure that you only fill the loaf pans 3/4 full so that they don’t overflow. You are obviously going to have enough for more than 2 mini loaves if you don’t adjust the recipe. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. Thank you for coming by.
Could I sub butter for oil?
I believe you could. For each type of quick bread, different types of fat are used. To make a quick bread that is a batter style, oil is typically used (but melted butter can also work) and sometimes I like to do 1/2 apple sauce and 1/2 melted butter. Thank you for the great question and enjoy your bread! 🙂 Or if you use oil, in place of the butter, I am not sure, I believe you would use half the amount, but I have never tried it before.
