How Do I Make Best Corn Bread Ever?
Here’s the simple steps you’ll follow to make this Bread (scroll down for the full recipe):
- In a mixing bowl combine flour, cornmeal, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter.
- Next add the oil, brown sugar and honey, to the melted butter, and stir well.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, then add the eggs, and the buttermilk.
- Mix just to combine.
- Place the ingredients into the prepared baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Tips and Tricks for this Corn Bread:
- If you do not want to make a 9″ x 13″ pan, go ahead and half the recipe. I like to make a larger pan and I can always think of someone to share with.
- I use coconut oil, but you are welcome to use vegetable oil.
- Allow your cornbread to cool for a few minutes before serving it; that makes it a little easier to get the corn bread out of the pan.

- 1/3 cup honey
